Jacki Sorensen, born Jacqueline Faye Mills on December 10, 1942, is an American pioneer of aerobic dancing. She created an aerobic dance routine for women in 1969, inspired by Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper's work on exercise. This led to the establishment of Aerobic Dancing Inc., which became a widespread franchise. Sorensen introduced the 'Jacki' aerobics shoe in 1982 and adapted to new trends with Jacki's, Inc. She received recognition for her contributions to fitness, serving on the President's Council on Physical Fitness and earning accolades like the Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the National Fitness Hall of Fame.
