Jacob M. Froese (1917–2003) was a Canadian politician who served as the only Social Credit MLA in Manitoba from 1959 to 1973 and was the party's leader during most of this time. Born in Winkler, he was active in local politics and community organizations. An independent parliamentarian, he faced increasing political challenges from larger parties and was defeated in subsequent elections after 1973. Froese was also a farmer, a member of the Winkler Credit Union Society, and had a large family with his wife Mary Peters. He passed away in 2003.
