Jacobus Pieter Miedema was a Dutch politician associated with the ARP. He completed his studies in law at the Free University Amsterdam in 1961 and began working at the Tweede Kamer of the States-General. He served as mayor of Winsum and later was appointed mayor of Dokkum in 1971. In 1976, he became the mayor of Baarn. Throughout his career, Miedema was involved in local governance, making significant contributions to the communities he served.
