Jacob Truedson Demitz, born Lars-Erik Jacob Ridderstedt on August 13, 1948, is an American writer and entertainment director of Swedish origin. He authored a book in 1996 about Scandinavian kings and, under the name Lars Jacob, has directed hundreds of underground cabaret shows in the United States and Europe since 1972. He grew up in Illinois, later returned to Sweden, and has lived for extended periods in Florida and California.
