Jagmati Sangwan is an Indian activist born on January 2, 1960, in Butana, Sonipat, Haryana. A former member of the central committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), she also represented India as a volleyball player, winning a bronze medal at the Asian Volleyball Championship. Jagmati is recognized as the first female athlete from Haryana to receive the Bhim Award for outstanding athletes. She has played a pivotal role in women's safety issues during the Indian farmers' movement and leads the Kisan Mahila Samiti formed by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM).
