Jakob Mikael Rubin, born on May 1, 1962, is a Danish journalist and author. He served as the Latin America correspondent for Jyllands-Posten from 1994 to 2003, based in Rio de Janeiro. Originally from Copenhagen, he lived in South America for 10 years, and he completed his journalism studies in 1995. His critical column on the U.S. invasion of Iraq caused controversy in 2003. Rubin has also been recognized for his investigation work and is a trained psychotherapist.
