Jamal Mohamed Barrow is a Somali diplomat, born on July 1, 1957, in Golweyn, Somalia. He holds degrees in Journalism and Business Administration and serves as the Ambassador of Somalia to Nigeria. Appointed in 2019, Barrow was the first ambassador accredited to Nigeria since 1991. He previously held roles as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and advisor on parliamentary affairs. With experience in peacebuilding, he founded the Center for Training and Consultancy and contributed to establishing the National Disaster Management Authority in Somalia.
