Jamal Omarova (March 8, 1912 – September 15, 1976) was a prominent Kazakh singer and a People's Artist of Kazakhstan. She began her career in a folk art group and gained recognition for her singing talents during her school years. In 1925, she won a first prize for her vocal performance at the Central Asian Children's Olympiad held in Tashkent. She belonged to the Balikshy clan of the Shanyshkyly tribe. Her contributions to music and culture in Kazakhstan are well celebrated.
