He gained recognition for his performances on RuPaul’s Drag Race and directed the acclaimed documentary When the Beat Drops in 2018. Starting his dance career at 12, he danced in Michael Jackson's music video Remember the Time at 17. He has choreographed for various film franchises, notably the Step Up series, and performed in multiple televised award shows. Sims is also known for his choreography in Disney films like Aladdin.
