Jameel As-Salhut, born on June 5, 1949, in Jabal Mukabber, Palestine, is a Palestinian writer and a founding member of the Palestinian Writers' and Literature Union and the Palestinian Journalists' Union. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Palestinian National Theatre and the Al-Qasbah Theatre. From 1998 to 2009, he served as the Director of Public Relations in the Jerusalem Governorate within the Palestinian National Authority.
