James A. Kenney III, born on March 26, 1937, in Salisbury, Maryland, is a former judge of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. He served on the court from June 17, 1997, until his retirement on March 26, 2007. Kenney earned his undergraduate degree from Dickinson College in 1959 and his law degree from the George Washington University Law School in 1963. He worked as an Assistant State's Attorney in St. Mary's County from 1964 to 1967 and currently holds the position of adjunct associate professor of political science at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
