James Edward Bailye Cope, born on May 5, 1966, is an English schoolteacher and former first-class cricketer. He played for Oxford University from 1986 to 1988, making twelve appearances and serving as a wicket-keeper. After graduating from Keble College, Oxford, he taught in several African countries before returning to the UK, where he held various teaching roles, including Deputy Head Pastoral at St Edward's School, Oxford. Cope is also responsible for overseeing cricket at the school.
