James Moorhead McKelvey is a former Irish cricketer and rugby union international, born on April 2, 1933, in Belfast. Educated at Campbell College, he studied medicine at Queen's University Belfast while playing cricket and rugby. McKelvey played two first-class cricket matches for Ireland in 1954, scoring 25 runs, and two Test matches in 1956 during the Five Nations Championship. After graduation, he became a respected general practitioner and later served as the president of the Ulster branch of the Irish Rugby Football Union.
