Jan Bednář is a Czech radio journalist and commentator, known for his work as a dissident and chartist. He was a member of the Czechoslovak section of the BBC in London from 1985 to 1992. Bednář has received the Ferdinand Peroutka Award in 2011. He served as the chairman of the Czech Television Council from June 2015 to March 2020.
