Jan Ginter Chłosta is a Polish writer and journalist born on December 27, 1938, in Allenstein. He worked for the Catholic publishing house Pax and the daily newspaper Gazeta Olsztyńska. Chłosta has published numerous works on regional history about his homeland Ermland-Masuren, as well as biographies. Additionally, he is active in the Catholic lay organization Civitas Christiana and is involved in efforts to preserve the historic cemetery of Olsztyn.
