Jan Dick Leurs is a former Dutch baseball player and coach, born on October 8, 1947, in Amsterdam. He played in the Dutch major league during the 1960s and 1970s as a pitcher and infielder, representing teams like Schoten and Haarlem Nicols. Leurs was part of the Dutch national team, winning the European Championship in 1971. He later became the national coach, leading the team to a sixth-place finish at the 1996 Olympics and three European Championships. He also discovered and trained pitcher Patrick van Doorn.
