Jan Helsloot (born 1959) is a Dutch chess player with a FIDE rating of 2016 as of 2017. He became the champion of the Netherlands in correspondence chess in 1986 and has been an International Master in correspondence chess since 1988. Helsloot participated in the 'Julius Nielsen Memorial' from 1985 to 1990, finishing sixth; Jonathan Penrose won the event. He learned chess at the age of four and works as a laboratory technician.
