Jan Med (April 13, 1916 - January 25, 2011) was a Salesian priest and missionary from Jihlava, Czech Republic. He joined the Salesians at age 13, began his novitiate in Slovakia, and was ordained in India in 1943. He founded Don Bosco School in Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu, and played a significant role in establishing a theological university in Bangalore and another in Maram. Revered by many Indians for his selfless service, his mission focused on providing education in remote mountainous areas while respecting local traditions and culture. He authored several books, including a collection of spiritual songs.
