Over her career, she illustrated more than 50 books, including notable works like J. M. Barrie's 'Peter Pan' and 'The Frog Prince'. Although she began her career in Britain, she later created works that reflected her Australian heritage, such as 'Lizzie Nonsense' and 'Shake a Leg'.
