Jan Svendsen, born Janet Anne Svendsen on November 9, 1948, in San Mateo, California, is a former American shot putter and discus thrower. She participated in the shot put event at the 1972 Munich Olympics but did not advance beyond the qualifying rounds. In 1973, Svendsen won the US Indoor Championship in shot put. The following year, she finished fifth in the discus throw at the Pan American Games held in Mexico City in 1975.
