Jan Wróblewski, born on November 6, 1940, in Bydgoszcz, is a Polish pilot and a two-time world champion in gliding. He became the Polish national champion in 1963 and won the world championship title in the open class at the 1965 World Gliding Championship in South Cerney, UK, flying a Foka-4. He is notable for being the first and only pilot to win the open class using a standard class aircraft. In 1970, he was the vice-world champion in the standard class and secured the title again in 1972 in Vršac, Yugoslavia, while receiving the Lilienthal Medal in the same year.
