Jan Zigmund, also known by the pseudonym 'Zdrowie', born on May 20, 1902, in Monasterzyska, was a distinguished doctor of all medical sciences and a surgeon. He served as the director of the first hospital in Sanok and was the initiator of the construction of a new medical facility in the city, which is now the Specialist Hospital in Sanok. During World War II, he was a soldier in the Home Army (ZWZ). He passed away on August 17, 1970, in Komańcza or Sanok.
