Jane Ebba Charlotta Horney (née Granberg) was a Swedish-Danish woman born on July 8, 1918, in Stockholm, and executed on January 20, 1945. She worked as a courier for Aftonbladet in Berlin while her husband was the correspondent. Horney's writing career began in 1939 after her travels to Greenland. During the war, Gestapo suspected her of being a British or Soviet agent; however, this was denied post-war by Abwehr officers. She was killed on a fishing boat in Øresund by resistance members, amidst claims of her being an undercover agent.
