Janet Anand, also known as Janet Carter-Anand, is an Australian philosopher and professor born on February 25, 1959, in Launceston, Tasmania. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tasmania (1980) and a Master's degree (1992). Anand completed her Ph.D. at La Trobe University in Melbourne in 2005. She later obtained a further qualification as a higher education teacher from Queen's University Belfast in Northern Ireland in 2012. Currently, she works as a professor at the University of Eastern Finland.
