Although her batting average was .170, she contributed to her team with two home runs and eight stolen bases. Born in Englewood, New Jersey, she played varsity baseball in high school but left due to institutional pressure. Later, she earned a chemistry degree and participated in sports like tennis and swimming while raising a family.
