Janina Boniakowska was a Polish folk poet born on February 15, 1918, in Przążewo, near Ciechanów. She debuted in poetry in 1975 and was an active member of the Creative Work Club in Ciechanów from 1974. Over the years, she became part of prominent literary associations and published several poetry collections, including 'Melodia świerszcza' and 'Mój głód ma smak poezji'. Acknowledged for her work, she received numerous literary awards, including the prestigious Oskar Kolberg Award in 2001. She passed away on July 28, 2011, in Ciechanów.
