Janina Burska-Toborowicz, also known as Sister Janina, was a soldier in the Polish Home Army during World War II. Born on December 28, 1917, in Mohylew, she played a significant role in the Warsaw Uprising. She was the founder and head of the sanitary service at a hospital located in a Social Insurance building on Smulikowskiego Street in Powiśle. She passed away on November 9, 2001, in Warsaw, leaving a legacy as a dedicated member of the resistance.
