Janis Anne Babson (September 9, 1950 – May 12, 1961) was a Canadian girl who gained posthumous recognition for donating her corneas for transplant after dying from leukemia at the age of 10. Her story, which was widely reported across Canada, inspired numerous books and memorials. At the time of her death, corneal transplantation was not well known. Janis's idea to donate her eyes led to many others becoming cornea donors, making her legacy significant in promoting organ donation.
