Janka Maria Jolan Polanyi, born in 1944 in Hungary, is a former television host and personality in Norway. She moved to Rena, Norway at the age of three. Polanyi began her career at NRK in 1965 as a channel hostess and continued until 1972. She hosted various programs, most notably leading the Melodi Grand Prix in 1969 and assisting in the debate show Åpen Post. After leaving NRK, she became the manager of an asylum reception center in Rena and appeared in the Norwegian film Tipp topp. Husmorfilmen in 1969.
