Janny Griet Vlietstra (born April 13, 1948) is a Dutch politician affiliated with the Labour Party. She began her political career in Ljouwert, serving on the municipal council and later as an alderman. Vlietstra was appointed mayor of Wynskoat in 1995, serving multiple terms. She was involved in the merger process of several municipalities and became a member of the daily board of the Iems Dollard Region in 2007. She served as a deputy in the province of Drenthe and as a member of the Senate from 2011 to 2015, with temporary mayoral roles in De Wolden, Marum, and Haren.
