Bali János, born on January 14, 1963, in Budapest, is a Hungarian composer, scholar, educator, conductor, and musician specializing in both the recorder and flute. He graduated as a mathematician from Eötvös Loránd University. His main areas of work include Renaissance and contemporary music, where he is active as both a conductor and recorder player. He is the founder and leader of the A:N:S choir and has received international recognition for his recordings. In 2010, he was awarded the Liszt Ferenc Award and has been an associate professor at Pázmány Péter Catholic University since 2015.
