János Oláh was a Hungarian poet, writer, and editor born on November 24, 1942, in Nagyberki, Hungary. He was recognized with the József Attila Prize and was a member of the Kilencek poets' group. Throughout his life, he was married to Katalin Mezey and was the father of János Oláh, Katalin Oláh, and Mátyás Oláh. He passed away on July 25, 2016, in Budapest.
