He won a bronze medal at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics and secured significant achievements in European Water Polo, earning silver in 1970 and gold in 1977. At the club level, he played for Vasas until 1961, then for Ferencváros, where he claimed various titles including the Hungarian league. He also coached Hungarian youth teams and served as an assistant coach for the men's national team between 1987 and 1989.
