Jaromír Babička (1908-2002) was a Czech Esperantist and railwayman, recognized as an honorary member of IFEF. After completing his education at the State Real Gymnasium in Beroun, he worked as a train dispatcher at various stations, including Prague's main station. Following his imprisonment for alleged treason after the 1948 communist takeover, he spent years in harsh conditions. After his release, he returned to the railway, ultimately becoming an inspector at an educational institute until his retirement in 1970.
