He served as a local representative for ANO 2011 in Lázně Bělohrad from 2014 to 2018, and represented the Hradec Králové Region from 2016 to 2020. Kostelníček participated in two overseas military missions and is an honorary citizen of Leavenworth, Kansas, USA. Additionally, he serves as the director of the Foundation for Leukemia Patients and was the chairman of the board of the Rural Development Foundation until 2019.
