Jaroslav Martinů is a Czech politician born on April 18, 1959, in Polička. He served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic from 2010 to 2013 and from 2017 to 2021. He was also a councilor for the Pardubice Region from 2004 to 2008 and again from 2012 to 2018. Since 2006, he has been the mayor of the town of Polička representing the Civic Democratic Party (ODS). He is not related to the composer Bohuslav Martinů, who also hailed from Polička.
