Jaroslav Tomsa was a Czech athlete and prominent film stuntman born on February 19, 1930, in Prague-Holešovice. He played football, ice hockey, tennis, and boxing but had to end his sports career due to an injury. Subsequently, he pursued stunt work at Barrandov film studios. After the Velvet Revolution, he founded the stunt agency Filmka Stunt, which he later handed over to his friend Ladislav Lahoda in 2000. Jaroslav passed away on August 4, 2015, in Prague.
