Jasem Yaqoub is a former Kuwaiti football player, born on October 25, 1953. He played as a forward for Al-Qadsiah SC and was a key player during the club's golden era in the 1970s. Yaqoub also represented the Kuwait national team from 1972 to 1982, helping them win the Gulf Cup three times and achieve notable successes in the AFC Asian Cup. He was the first Arab-Asian player to qualify for the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Recognized as one of the top players in the Gulf, he received various accolades, including being considered a legendary figure in Gulf Cup history.
