Jason Carter is an American bluegrass fiddler, known for his contributions to the Del McCoury Band and the Travelin' McCourys. Born on February 1, 1973, in Ashland, Kentucky, he began his musical journey at age 8. After learning guitar, mandolin, and later the fiddle, he joined the Del McCoury Band in the early 1990s. Carter has received several accolades, including being named fiddle player of the year by the International Bluegrass Music Association six times. He has collaborated with many notable artists and has released two solo albums.
