Jason Cooper is an Australian former swimmer born on February 16, 1972. He was a butterfly and freestyle swimmer, starting his training at eight years old. Cooper achieved notable success at the 1990 Auckland Commonwealth Games, where he won a gold medal as part of the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay team and a bronze in the 100 m butterfly. He also competed at the 1991 World Championships and just missed out on the 1992 Barcelona Olympics by 0.05 seconds. He held a national title in the 50 m butterfly.
