Jaswinder Singh Brar was an influential Indian politician associated with the Shiromani Akali Dal party. He served as a Cabinet minister in the Punjab government during the Prakash Singh Badal ministry from 1977 to 1980. Brar was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly twice, first in 1972 and then in 1977, from the Kotkapura Assembly Constituency. He was Leader of Opposition in 1972 but resigned due to internal differences. Notably, he was also the President of the All India Sikh Students Federation.
