He was instrumental in establishing the Histopathology department at the Sindh Institute in 1995, contributing significantly to Renal and Transplant Pathology in Pakistan. Kazi also served as Dean of Medicine at the University of Karachi and was a board member of the Journal of Pakistan Medical Association.
