Jayant Raj Kushwaha is an Indian politician and current Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Amarpur constituency in Bihar. He belongs to the Janata Dal (United) party and serves as the Minister of Rural Work in Bihar. In the 2020 elections, he won against Jitendra Singh of the Indian National Congress, securing 33.13% of the votes. Jayant is the son of former MLA Janardan Manjhi and has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, graduating in 2010.
