Jean da Silva was a Brazilian professional surfer born in Joinville on February 6, 1985. He made history by becoming the first surfer from Santa Catarina to win the Brazilian surfing championship in 2010. In 2011, he earned the opportunity to compete in several events of the elite World Circuit as a guest. Tragically, Jean passed away in his hometown on November 24, 2017.
