Jean Flatt Davey was a pioneering Canadian physician, born on March 16, 1909. She made history in August 1941 by becoming the first female doctor to receive a commission in the medical branch of the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. From 1950 to 1965, Davey served as the Physician-in-Chief at the Department of Medicine at Women's College Hospital in Toronto. Throughout her career, she contributed significantly to healthcare and the advancement of women in medicine until her passing on March 13, 1980.
