Jean-François Chabrun (1922-1997) was a French poet, journalist, and art critic known for his involvement in the French Resistance during World War II. He studied at the lycée Henry IV and later at Rennes University and the Sorbonne. Chabrun was associated with the neodada group Les Réverbères and published controversial works on degenerate art. He was imprisoned for political reasons but became active in the Resistance after his release. After the war, he returned to surrealism and founded the magazine La Main à plume, later establishing a quarterly review called L'Ingénu in 1979.
