Jean-Pierre Thomin is a Breton politician from the Socialist Party (PS), born in February 1949 in Landerneau. He began his career working with Bleun Brug, a regional organization. Thomin is fluent in Breton and served as the mayor of Landerneau from 1989 to 2008. He held the position of deputy president of the Landerneau-Daoulas community for a time and was a member of the Brittany Regional Council from 1997 to 2010.
