Jeanette Kossmann, born Jeanette Markus, was a Dutch graphic and type designer, celebrated for her significant contributions to the field. Born on July 10, 1923, in Rotterdam, she designed numerous book covers for publishers such as Querido, De Arbeiderspers, and Manteau. Kossmann is particularly known for creating the logo for the RET in 1965. As one of the first women to work professionally in type design, her work has left a lasting impact on graphic design in the Netherlands. She passed away on October 16, 2016, in her hometown of Rotterdam.
