She was recognized for her efforts during the resistance against Nazi Germany and was awarded the Resistance Medal. Tragically, she died on April 15, 1945, in the Ravensbrück concentration camp. Lejard's dedication to her cause and her ultimate sacrifice exemplify the struggles faced by many during World War II.
