Jed R. Graef is a former American swimmer born on May 1, 1942. He competed for Princeton University during his active career. Graef achieved notable success at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, where he won the gold medal in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:10.3 minutes, which also set a world record at that time. His achievements were recognized in 1988 when he was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
